chatel warmers – a free pattern

IMG_0105

As you know, I recently spent a week away with some really good girl friends in the French Alps, in a place called Chatel. It has become somewhat of a tradition that I design a little something for these occasions, usually something small that everyone can work on and finish during our time away. Last summer we did a lot of crochet, but this time we agreed on something knitted.

So as soon as the Christmas rush was over, I got my thinking cap on…I thought small, warm, a little bit of glamour, a little interesting stitch definition and most of all do-able in one week, so that everyone could wear the finished item on the way home.

That is how the “Chatel Warmers” were born. A pair of fingerless mittens, or pulse warmers, whichever you prefer. They can be customised as you wish, your yarn choice and also how long you want them to be will make them uniquely your own…

Please post photos either by e-mail or Instagram, linking back to me. I would love to see what combinations you can come up with.
