Africa in pictures (part 4)

dear diary,

After a very exciting time at Samara private reserve we had to move on. We were sad to leave but were looking forward to our next stop about 4 hours drive away towards the coast near Port Elizabeth. The weather had changed from scorching hot 34C to rather cool temperatures and by the time we arrived at Kariega Game reserve it was raining pretty hard.

We gave our afternoon game drive a miss as we were tired and didn’t fancy sitting on open jeeps in the pouring rain. New Year’s Eve was spent relatively quiet with an early bed time for everyone. At the crack of dawn the next morning the weather looked a little better and we went out on our first drive…
