Dear Friends,

2017 has been another year full of surprises and lot’s good things for me and you have been part of it in many ways. Being part of this wonderful, worldwide knitting and crochet community is one of the best things of my every day life. All the sharing of stories, the chatting and support, here and on my other social media, shows that our crafting community is one of love and big hearts. It restores some faith and hope in the otherwise often gloomy outlook we see on our televisions weekly.

I hope the next few days will be peaceful and joyous and you get to spend them with the people you love. Find some time to snuggle up and read a good book, make yummy food, knit or crochet and have a relaxing time.

For 2018 I wish you good health, stress only in small doses and a huge amount of happiness.

Hello friends! I don’t know about you, but I am almost ready to unwrap my presents as it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas in our house. The tree is up and the house is looking festive with all the decorations around. I am looking forward to some relaxing time in front of the fire with some knitting or crochet making something for myself or loved ones, rather than work related.

Simple does it – a last minute decoration 

Ch5

Row 1: 1dc in second ch from hook and in each ch along – turn

Row 2: 1ch, 1dc in each dc along – turn

Repeat row 2 until piece measures approx. 50cm

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Finish: Fold the crochet strip as shown in the photo. Using thread and beads work through each layer to assemble.
