Hello my lovelies, how have you been? I hope your weekend was lovely and bright and you managed to spent some time relaxing with either hook or needles.
It seems that the star theme from last week has been ever present in my studio too as I have been working away on a few new things.
First up a brand new design to be launched on the 19th September during the grand opening of my friend Claudia’s shop in Oppenheim/Germany. Claudia, who has been running her online shop Wollsinn for many years, is taking the plunge and fulfilling the lifelong dream of her own shop. More about that in another post…it will be wonderful!
Many of you know how much I love Turkey, and it comes as no surprise that I am always immensely inspired by Turkish culture, people, colour and so on. Over the past few weeks I have been working on a few new crochet motifs, most of them stars. Watch out for a free star design featuring here very soon.
This week however will be mostly about finishing my Kontrast Jumper, a new design by Marianne Isager. A top down design, which has been an absolute pleasure to knit and I am hoping I can announce an English version of this pattern very soon. This design gives the knitter the opportunity to decide which of the beautiful Isager yarns to work with, thus making it extremely adaptable. For my version I am working with Viscolin (50% Viscose/50% Linen) and Palet (100% Cotton), making it the perfect companion on my trip to Andalusia next week, I can’t wait.
Have a fabulous week, enjoy!
