For absolute ages I had this rather plain old Lamp shade hiding away in a cupboard just waiting to be prettyfied, and this lamp base crying out to me every day saying: “I am so bored of looking drab!”, so I did something about it.
I found some left-over Rico Creative Cotton Aran and set to work, making it up as I went along. Ripping back a few times, but eventually liking how the project developed. I didn’t use any fancy stitches, just good old double and treble crochet. The choice of colours matched my interior and made sure that it is very pleasing to the eye.
The pattern is easily adapted to any size of lamp shade that might be in need of a make-over, instructions are given in the pattern which is now available to download here.
A make-over for a lamp shade is a sure way to have the desired colour match for your interior and before you know it you can change this…
…to this!
Enjoy! X.
