Happy Thursday my lovely peeps…how are you all? Well I hope!
As promised I want to share my Easter Table Set pattern with you today. Hopefully you have all purchased some Scheepjes Larra and Lizzy in colours to match your rooms or other Easter Deco you might want to use on your table. It really is not difficult to find something matching as they are 49 shades of Larra and 11 shades of Lizzy to choose from, simply delicious!
You also need 3.5mm knitting needles and a 3.5mm crochet hook and when you are all set, just download the pattern by clicking this link HERE!
Now all you need is a nice cup of tea or coffee, your favourite chair to sit in and you are ready to begin (maybe the odd chocolate Easter egg would be lovely too)!
Have fun and please let me know how you get on, or even better why not mail me with some photos, I would love to see which colour combos you choose.
Hello lovely friends and readers, thank you for stopping by!
Another week has passed and brought us closer to Easter time. On Saturday I am off to the French Alps with a friend for some fresh mountain air, blue skies and hopefully some snow fun.
Before I am off I want to share my latest hot off the needles/hook project with you. Yes, my Easter table set is finished and I am really pleased with how it has turned out. Hope you like it too!
The table mats are knitted diagonally in simple garter stitch and the matching coasters are crochet in the round. I used one of my favourite cotton yarns for this project, Scheepjes Larra in yellow (7309) and grey (7327) and for a little Easter sparkle I added rows of Scheepjes Lizzy on the mats and a picot edging on the coasters in matching gold (03) and silver (02).
I will be writing up the pattern for this set whilst I am away ready for you next week. Why not get prepared by ordering the yarn between now and then so you are all set to get started right away next Thursday. You will need 2 balls of cotton and one ball of sparkle per set and these and many more luscious colours are available from the Deramores website here.
The sets are really easy and quick to make, and you can easily rustle up enough for a complete Easter table setting.
Hope to see you here next week for pattern sharing!
Hello dear readers, how have you been? I hope you all had a great week.
I had a lovely time with my sister visiting, spending many hours catching up whilst drinking tea, eating cake and knitting…a lot!
Sadly, as always when having a lovely time, the week went by in a flash and my ‘little’ sis has gone back to Germany already (sad face!)
Even though we did a lot of knitting I didn’t get much time to work on my Easter Table set using my beautiful Scheepjes Larra and Lizzy yarns. I have made a good start though and really like the look and feel of it so far. Finger’s crossed I have it done by next week to show you the completed set in a proper Easter table setting.
Hello everyone, welcome to March! This month we will celebrate the official beginning of Spring with gardens and countryside coming to live again. Days are definitely getting longer and, when the sun is out, warmer and Easter is just around the corner.
Thinking ahead to Easter and decorating the table for a lovely family get together over lunch or afternoon tea, I have started working on a festive little table set with a wee bit of added sparkle.
Ever searching for the perfect mercerised cotton yarn I think I have finally found it. This is Larra by Scheepjes, 100% mercerised cotton and available in 49 shades. The yarn has a sheen that is soft and subtle and is an absolute joy to work with as it doesn’t split and is easy to handle. I am adding a little glitz by using small quantities of Lizzy which unlike so many other sparkle yarns is made up of 80% Viscose and only 20% Polyester and comes in amazing 11 colours.
Test swatching is complete, sketches have been drawn and the Maths worked out. Knitting will commence shortly and hopefully by next week I have some progress to report and show.
Come and see me again then. Have a good week, fingers crossed for some sunshine!
