padded hearts by LenkaH

dear diary,

a while ago I showed photos of beautiful hearts I had crochet on my Instagram and Facebook pages.

I got so many lovely comments and requests for the pattern that I thought I must do something about it. The story behind these is that I was searching for a good and slightly unusual pattern to make Lavender hearts. Normally I would knit and then felt them, but I wanted to try and crochet them this time. I did a quick search on Ravelry¬†and as always found plenty of options. The one above, which I liked best, is by a lovely lady called LenkaH. Lenka lives in the Czech Republik and has published a few crochet patterns on Ravelry, all in English. She also writes a beautiful blog here, sadly it is not in English but it’s worth a visit just for her lovely photos.

I dropped Lenka a line via Ravelry to see if she would allow me to blog about her creation. Not only did she say yes, but she was really keen for me to share her gorgeous pattern with all of you my lovely readers. Isn’t that just the kindest and sweetest thing!!!!

So without further ado…: It gives me great pleasure to share these fabulous crochet heart creations by LenkaH, download absolutely free…here ūüôā

Norfolk Shawl

dear diary…

let me introduce you to my latest design, the Norfolk Shawl.

This crescent shaped shawl was inspired by the Lavender and Wheat fields of Norfolk, gently swaying in the wind blowing  from the North Sea.

I have always loved Norfolk, the vast open spaces with large fields of crops growing, interspersed with pretty villages and old Windmills. Then there is the amazing coastline, where beautiful sandy beaches invite you to dip your toes (or more) into the waves or simply stroll along looking at sun-sets and stripy Lighthouses.

The mostly flat landscape, occasionally interspersed with gentle hills, makes it perfect for cycle holidays. Take your paints to capture one of the many breathtaking vistas, or like me, be inspired to do some knitting.

The Norfolk Shawl is now exclusively available at Fibre & Clay or directly via the Patterns to buy page.
