A few weeks ago the ever so lovely Lisa of @lisasattik asked me if I fancied being part of a blog tour comprising of the current and most prolific Crocheters around to talk about her first book. I thought about it for about 10 seconds and said yes.

Today is my day and gives me great pleasure to introduce you to Lisa’s first book

Delicious Crochet Shawls

(21 Stylish Crochet Shawls)

This is a beautiful glossy book with a cover flap that serves as a handy page mark. In it you will find 21 Shawls all inspired by Lisa’s family caravan jaunts around the Northumberland coast line and Lake District in the UK. The shawls have lovely names like Blueberry Muffin, Neapolitan Ice and Queen of Tarts and as soon as I received my copy of the book I decided to make a shawl called Banana Split.

I had the perfect yarn in my stash, Aglow Singles by Lottie Knits  and Farouche by Nature’s Luxury

I love the fact that the book has both written instructions and diagrams for each pattern, which makes it suitable for every ability of Crocheters, from beginners to advanced, there is a pattern for everyone.

The book also includes useful info at the back on techniques, different shawl shapes and blocking methods.

My Banana Split was a joy to make and I loved every stitch. There are two sizes to choose from and I opted for the small size which is just perfect to wear right now when days are still warm but mornings and evenings can get a bit chilly.

I am pondering which one to make next and already looking forward to see which shawls all the others have been working on. Why don’t you join me and follow along with the blog tour, next up is Emily who you all know as The Loopy Stitch , find out what she is making tomorrow.

See you very soon.
