Hello dear readers, I am home from my travels to Andalucia. I got home on Wednesday night after what can only be described as the arctic flight home. So cold in fact, that I am now suffering a number of infections as a result and feeling a bit sorry for myself.

On a cheerful note however, I am over the moon that you all seem to like my Moya Star Shawl. It was received very well during it’s launch in Germany at the weekend and I have received many lovely comments via various social media channels.

As promised in my last post, the pattern is now available as a digital download via my pattern store here . Launching online today, this pattern can be purchased in three languages, English, German and Dutch. A huge big thank you goes to my lovely friend Marianne (www.marrose-ccc.com) for the Dutch translation and my wonderful co-producer Claudia (www.wollsinn.de) for the German version.

The Moya Star Shawl is also available as a kit via Claudia’s web-shop as of today. Just visit it here, select your colour choices and soon a lovely package will arrive for you to make your very own beautiful version of the shawl.

Please share photos of your finished shawl, I really would love to see your colour combinations. Why not post on Instagram #moyastarshawl or send me an email attaching some photos. Most importantly…

Enjoy! X.

After a long time dreaming about it, my very special friend Claudia opens the doors to her wonderful yarn shop, Wollsinn, in Oppenheim/Germany. For many years Claudia has been cooking up a storm, dyeing beautiful yarns and selling them via her website. She is also one of the largest stockists of the gorgeous Isager Yarns I know, and when not dyeing or selling yarn, organises the Schwabsburger Wollfest with a friend and Knitting Retreats in Wales with me. We also work on many design collaborations together, and have come up with something very special for the opening tomorrow.

May I introduce my brand new design, Moya Star Shawl! This beauty of a shawl is made up of 40 crochet stars, specially designed to show off the gorgeous yarn from South Africa. The yarn is organically produced by women co-operatives, hand dyed and is the softest cotton I have ever worked with.

The shawl has been test crochet by my lovely friend Marianne and Claudia’s friend Manu just to make sure it is error free for you.

From tomorrow until next Wednesday, 24 September, the pattern will be exclusively available in Wollsinn’s shop, after that you will be able to purchase it from both Claudia and my website’s (more details will follow). We so hope you will love this shawl as much as we do!

Please join me in wishing Claudia many happy and successful years in her new stunning and welcoming yarn emporium.

Yesterday morning saw the beginning of two wonderful days playing with different dye stuff and yarns. Learning how to dye yarn had long been on my agenda to do, as it was the only bit missing in my yarn lexicon. All day myself and the very lovely Nina from Bergen in Norway (www.pinnsvindesign.no) learned how to use plant extracts and synthetic dyes.

Being taught by such a knowledgeable teacher, Claudia (www.wollsinn.de), was truly inspiring, and I can’t wait to get started on part two today.

The sun is shining, the sky is blue – Denmark you are kind to us!
