Hello friends, how have you been? Well I hope.

Sorry I have been so absent from here, no excuse really apart from the usual…

too busy, writer’s block, family issues…you know what I am saying!

Truth is, I am having a bit of a think about what direction I want this space to take.

What do you my lovely readers really want to see here and how often do you actually have time to read what I have to say?

Any feedback will be gratefully received, so leave me comments and say it as it is.

Whatever the case, a re-vamp is going to happen in the not too distant future! 🙂

But on to some good news…

My creative partner in crime Claudia and I have been working flat out on some new ideas over the last few weeks, and today it gives me great pleasure to introduce two new designs to you:

#madewithloops.co.uk #shawlpattern

First up is the Solveig Shawl.

Named after the central character in the play Peer Gynt by Henrik Ibsen, she sings the famous “Solveig’s Song” in Edvard Grieg’s musical suite of the same name, which has been a favourite of mine for a long time.

This slightly semi circular shawl uses simple yarn over’s to maximum effect throughout the main body, becoming more detailed in the lace section of the shawl. You can choose from two different cast-off’s depending on the look you want to achieve. The shawl is large enough to give you the warmest hug just when you need it.

Finished size: Width 160cm – Depths 60cm

The second new design is this Colourwave Wrap.

A lovely long Pashmina Style Shawl. Perfect make to use up all those soft yarns living in your stash, or make it using the yarns suggested in the pattern.
A must have for journey’s taken by car, train or plane. This accessory will keep you snug, warm and feeling cosy at all times.

Finished size: Length 180cm – Width 48cm

Both patterns are available in English and German and can be purchased via my Etsy shop here.

I can also tell you that ‘The little book of Sox’ is almost finished. Claudia and I are putting the finishing touches to the layout and then it’s off to the printers. With a bit of luck I will be able to show and tell you more before too long. Here is a wee small snippet…

Enjoy! x.
